Having first worked on the transplant unit at St James’s Hospital in Leeds, Neal completed his General Surgery training in London and then underwent specialist training in renal transplantation and minimally invasive renal/adrenal surgery at Guy’s and the Royal Free Hospitals. He was appointed as a Consultant Renal Transplant & Endocrine Surgeon at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in 2012, and held this post until moving to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin in 2021.
